Santa Rosa, Sonoma County
Charles M. Schulz drew Peanuts in Santa Rosa for the last three decades of his life. The museum that bears his name opened in 2002 beside the ice arena he built for the community in 1969. Inside are thousands of original comic strips and a re-creation of his studio, and statues of Snoopy and Charlie Brown turn up all over Santa Rosa.
